Research into Genre

HORROR Horror is a genre  which is intended to, or has the capacity to frighten, scare, disgust, or startle its readers or viewers by inducing feelings of horror  and terror.  Horror films are unsettling films designed to frighten and panic, cause dread and alarm, and to invoke our hidden worst fears, often in a terrifying, shocking finale, while captivating and entertaining us at the same time in a cathartic experience. Horror films effectively center on the dark side of life, the forbidden, and strange and alarming events. They deal with our most primal nature and its fears: our nightmares, our vulnerability, our alienation, our revulsions, our terror of the unknown, our fear of death and dismemberment, loss of identity, or fear of sexuality. https://www.filmsite.org/horrorfilms.html Sub-Genres Of Horror 1. ET Video Effect Evaluation

This is my video that I created on Premiere Pro: ET Video Effect https://youtu.be/FcGVHsNJdpw Step by step on how to create this effect. 1. Record a short video of your finger touching another persons finger. 2. save your video onto your mac and import it to premiere pro. 3. split the audio from the video by right clicking the video and pressing unlink. 4. delete the audio. 5. go to video effects and find lens flare and drag it onto the video. 6. mess around with the effect until its suitable for the video. 7. track the lens flare across the whole video, making sure it is tracked smoothly. 8. export the video to the media encoder and save it as an mp4 file. 9. upload to youtube. I used a cannon camera and went into the studio to record my short video, then I went on premiere pro to edit my video. I think I did this effect well but I could've used a green screen to add a background to the video. i could have used more precision when tracking my video in order to make it look more sm...

Three Point Lighting

Image
Today we used 3 point lighting to take some images. The fill light is the big light to the right, which is lighting up me. The key light is the smaller light to the left which is providing a lift to shadows. The back light is the smaller light to the right of me which is adding depth to the image. The back light being used for adding depth to imagery and/or videography. Thriller Lighting, the back light has been dimmed for a dramatic effect and the fill light has been turned off. Horror Lighting, in this shot we are only using the key light to create a spooky atmospheric shot. This is another 3 point lighting shot from the angle of the key light. This shot is the interview lighting.
