LA5: Reviewing Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Sound Sourcing And Sound Creation

  1. What do you feel were your strengths in sourcing your audio and why?


    my strengths where being able to source a non copyright audio clip that I was happy to use in a rather quick time. I'm happy with how the soundtrack time synced with the video in my final product.


  1. What areas would you like to improve on when sourcing audio in the future and why? 


    I would like to be able to ensure audio clips are copyright free so I don't cause and lawsuits or copyright issues arise.


  1. What do you feel were your strengths when creating your own audio and why? 


    I think the way I created my audio was unique and quite easy. it worked well with the video and I am happy with how the created sound worked in my final video. I ensured the microphone was positioned so the created sound was captured effectively and was clear.


  1. What areas would you like to improve on when creating your own audio in the future? 


    in the future I would like to use an external mic, as I used an internal mic meaning the quality of the audio isn't as good as it possibly could've been.


  1. What do you feel went well at the editing stage when integrating your audio into your final film? 


    I think the way the audio works with the video is very well executed and it flows well, I adjusted both the soundtrack and the stabbing sound effects audio so they were both clearly audible yet not too overpowering of each other.


    What areas would you like to improve upon when integrating audio onto your future video projects? 


    use a more varied display of diegetic and non diegetic sound in my videos in the future, doing the means I can make my videos more intricate, detailed and well composed, so it feels more like a grounded movie trailer.
