LA5: Reviewing Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Sound Sourcing And Sound Creation

What do you feel were your strengths in sourcing y our audio and why? my strengths where being able to source a non copyright audio clip that I was happy to use in a rather quick time. I'm happy with how the soundtrack time synced with the video in my final product. What areas would you like to improve on when sourcing audio in the future and why?   I  would like to be able to ensure audio clips are copyright free so  I   don't cause and lawsuits or copyright issues arise. What do you feel were your strengths when creating your own audio and why?   I think the way I created my audio was unique and quite easy. it worked well with the video and I am happy with how the created sound worked in my final video. I ensured the microphone was positioned so the created sound was captured effectively and was clear. What areas would you like to improve on when creating your own audio in the future?   in the future  I   would  like to use an external...

LA4: Integrating Diegetic And Non Diegetic Sound Into A Video Project.

first I imported my video files with the audio into premiere pro, then I unlinked the videos and deleted the audio so I was left with silent videos.  I added my sound track which I found by searching for non copyright suspenseful music on youtube and attempted to sync up the audio and video so when the song would get more intense, a video clip would play.  for the murder scene I recorded a stabbing effect on my phone, saved it to teams and then imported it into premiere pro using a Mac in college.  I placed this sound effect carefully to where I wanted it to be in my video, so the video and audio looked as authentic as can be, and I also adjusted the sound level so it wasn't too loud, but wasn't too quiet.

LA3: Create And Record Appropriate Sound Accompaniment For A Video Production

The camera mic was not used for any diegetic sound apart from i did create diegetic sound by rubbing knives together to create a stabbing sound for the murder scene, instead of keeping in the diegetic sound from each clip, I unlinked it and deleted it so the non diegetic soundtrack was more clearly audible. I recorded 2 knives rubbing each other to create a stabbing sound effect on my phone for the murder scene in my movie trailer, I did this multiple times until I was happy with the sound created and then imported it into my movie by saving the sound file on teams on my phone, then downloading it and importing it onto my video using a Mac.

LA3: Apply Video Post-Production Techniques to The Creation Of A Video Product

each shot has the same effects/techniques so it all flows into each-other. for each shot I used a black and white filter with a red overlay (SL NOIR NOUVELLE RED) to highlight the blood or any other reds, I did this because the colour red is usually signified to danger, anger and harm. Settings:  Intensity: 75.7 Faded Film: 0.0 Sharpen: 10.3 Vibrance: - 60.0 Saturation: 200.0 I also added a basic lumetri colour vignette and adjusted the settings to create a grained look to each shot Settings: Amount: 3.0 Midpoint: 0.0 Roundness: 100.0 Feather: 100.0 I linked certain shots to when the music intensifies to create a dramatic, suspenseful aura to the video itself.

My Oracy Passport (English)

Why is oracy important to me? Oracy is important to me because it means I can speak well mannered and confidently when doing important things or pursuing goals, such as job interviews. Currently I think speaking in front of a group of people wouldn't be too hard of a struggle, I may be nervous but I could easily persevere. It's important to me because when I was in secondary school I didn't have the Oracy skills to stand up for myself and become my own person, preach my own views. This is important because I wouldn't be the person I am today without gaining better oracy skills. Problems I may encounter? I may encounter nervousness and stage fright due to speaking to a moderately large group of maybe 10/15 people, but that depends on the size of said group.

LA2.1 & LA3.1: Demonstrate encoding video for various resolutions and platforms

Image
I am going to encode my short film into multiple formats, resolutions and on 2 platforms, those being YouTube and Vimeo. 1080p YouTube Video - 1080p is a larger file but it is higher in quality, this is better for larger screens. https://youtu.be/mvKrdyVuI7I 720p Youtube Video - 720p is lower in quality but is a smaller file size, this is better for mobile devices or smaller screens. https://youtu.be/ImTRq4NLJDU Vimeo 1080p Video - Vimeo is a similar app to youtube and the same rules apply, so a higher resolution means a higher fie size, slower download/upload speed etc. https://vimeo.com/561261368 Vimeo 480p Video - this file is way smaller due to the resolution being lower, meaning it is a smaller and faster download/upload. https://vimeo.com/561265688
